I pray that as we journey together and I try to put my thoughts here, that it truly encourages you, and doesn’t just inform you.

We set out on this walk of faith with NO PLANS. Little did we know that Salt Lake City would be a part of those plans, but God continues to humor us!

But more than humoring us, He continues to PROVIDE in BIG WAYS that we never dreamed of.

As you know…our pay with New Hope ends on March 31, and we hope to move out and start the church planting journey in July-August in SLC…so we really needed something to fill the gap!

So we now know what it is now like to have to sit and pray about not having a job anywhere in sight for a couple months. Our big news is that God brought something unexpected onto our radars and we are pumped about how God always knows our needs and provides at just the right time…HIS!

There was an amazing family that I met at our STICKS CONFERENCE this year. Dave Anderson and his wife Dana [Crosspoint Church/Decatur, AL] came hungry to take the kingdom by storm and the dude caught my attention big time.

Dave Anderson [aka: movie pastor/the radically cool grandpa in this pic] is one of the most passionate, kick-butt, but humble leaders I have ever met. He fired me up so much about what is going on in his small town, that I now call it an honor to say that he will be my new boss in a few weeks. {Late March/Early April}

WHAT???

Dave [in a moment of weakness] hired me to do some full-time consulting at Crosspoint Church until we transition to the world that we will soon come to know as home in Salt Lake City, UT in the late summer.

Sweeeeeeeet home Alabama…[Grace is excited because now we can REALLY sing this song now on Guitar Hero!] Now that is confirmation from God.

[Crosspoint had 300+ last weekend and Dave is also bi-vocational...you kidding me?]

I’ll be doing my best to help them by challenging the church/helping question the future/teaching on the weekends and helping in anyway possible to help them achieve their full potential and to position themselves for growth in the same way that we had some success @ NH!

And thanks to all of my new Twitter and Facebook friends from the south! Your response today to the news was overwhelming I heard!

We have an amazing family who is allowing us to inhabit their guest house in Alabama for a few months or more and several others that have or will chip in to make this happen for our family. Thanks for your faith walk and striving to reach the next level in reaching and teaching people to become PASSIONATE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST!

And BTW…I can’t even imagine what I WILL LEARN FROM THEM! What an amazing story, and they are only on the first chapter. We can’t freakin’ wait. Our family is JACKED!

Who would have thought that our family would be moving to Alabama and then Salt Lake City?

If you are not on an adventure with GOD…I’m sorry. It is an amazing place to be. It is the craziest place to be. And safe is not how we are called to live the Christian life.

Just look at Jesus. That’s how I want to roll.
