Though this piece has nothing to do with the Advent Conspiracy, it is a neat piece to see just how much we consume in America and how little those around the world consume compared to us. This couple ate on 1 dollar a day for 30 days, not a penny more.
As we: WORSHIP FULLY/SPEND LESS/GIVE MORE/LOVE ALL may we keep in mind that the GREAT LIGHT of the WORLD has come to not only bring salvation, but to bring us the love that only HIS LIGHT can share.
I am jacked about our offering of 1 gift in exchange for 1 life as we meet needs in our local community and as we take fresh drinking water to Africa. New Hope…we are making an eternal difference and a physical difference in this WORLD. Makes me smile pretty big.

Good to see you are seeing the needs of the poor, hungry and oppressed better. Be sure to stop, observe, re-orient and move when it comes to how the church models materialism. Jesus didn’t ask us to have the most appealing, latest and greatest tools (no matter how much we’ve saved in purchasing them)in order to love those who need it. If only the dollars to our toolsheds were spent on reaching out to the needs of the community. We all know Jesus didn’t need such means to reach the people with Love. Encourage your members to give more, not to the your church, but trust them to give more to those in need in their individual lives.
That guy is right. Tang is nasty stuff. Cool story, though.
