What a difference a day makes. I will be brief today because I am very tired due to the time change, I was out all day and then off to a late evening prayer meeting and I am still sick.
Yesterday I showed you how the elite live in China or if you are or would be an average American moving to China. Today was REALITY 101. Here’s my take aways. Photos are at the end so you understand the shots.
- I am ill due to the smells and food. I am sure I have lost weight. The food is not un-edible, but it’s not good either to me. It’s a 3 on a scale of 10. Great weight loss plan! Yes I am fairly picky…
- Did I mention the smells everywhere? WOW.
- When you see how people live you are overwhelmed. But that is their life and “city living” is FAR superior to the country which I will travel to with Brother Lee in about 10 days.
- The church in CHINA is small, but growing every day. THEY ARE WAY SERIOUS ABOUT THEIR FAITH. Don’t take this wrong…myself included. We are lazy Christians in America.
- The UG church is thriving and beginning to emerge with the governments slight allowance. It is growing to see that Christianity is not a threat to the government at all. But fear still shrouds everything. Most churches are hidden. Only one in this city of MILLIONS has their doors open to the streets.
- The government is hot onto this church, but the church has been allowed to stay in operation. They are the only house church (they call them FAMILY CHURCHES) to have a screen and Power Point. Look for video and/or pics this weekend from 2 house churches.
- You will be BLOWN AWAY by the interviews that we did with the UG church leaders. Don’t miss the next series: called ON LOCATION. It will be amazing.
- I am also ill because the burden of looking at millions of people in this city who need the LORD is so heavy on me. Please pray…I am wrecked, wrecked, wrecked BIG TIME. My heart is ripped out and tread on as I want to SHOUT out loud the name and love of Jesus, but my trip would be cut short. I am wrecked…and that made me physically ill. The oppression and burden is thick here.
- Did I mention that I am wrecked and I am burdened along with my family?
- The house church Pastor’s training is on their own. They open the BIBLE and let it rip. Not a bad training manual.
- People in China have a hard time recruiting for Children’s ministry. What’s the deal???
- If you don’t watch out, they will run you over. No joke. Cars, taxi’s, motorcycles…seriously.
- The Chinese are the most hospitable people on the face of the earth.
- Take a crack at how these people really live, and PRAY please for the SOULS of CHINA. Don’t miss this series. Next weekend will be my first sermon from China meeting with the Campus Church and interviewing them. Pray as I am preaching @ 2 places this weekend.
- My WORLD has been opened up like never before. Can’t wait for some of you to join me over here someday.
- Go get ‘em back home at ALL our campuses…This weekend is set to be OFF THE CHAIN…and ASHLAND launches in a few weeks with practice services. GO LAUNCH TEAM! TIME TO ROLL!
- Whoever thought we would be going into ALL THE WORLD? Speaking, encouraging and listening to these amazing leaders…know that you and your spirits are HERE WITH US. And they were BLESSED BEYOND BELIEF by our coming. We will be making plans on how to best equip this city leadership and gospel wise with these brave warriors.
- More to report in the days ahead. I am off to bed now…
I love the taxi cabs. I also like that they’re called Selph mobiles. How cool is that?
How awesome to see pictures of our New Hope FAMILY over there! Yes, you are our family!!!!!Please know that we are praying for all of you and that your faith is truly inspirational! God is good!Jenn
