Have you ever wondered that same question? Have you ever had a really heavy burden on your heart and you needed HIM to SHOW? Have you ever had a time that you had to make some big decisions and you waited on God to hear from HIM only to have Him be SILENT?
But what about those days where you wait on HIM and He speaks LOUDLY and CONFIRMS your path and direction?
Today we are meeting with the WHITE BOARD that is blank to think about our paths and direction…well, HIS paths and DIRECTION of course.
This verse came up in my devotions:
Proverbs 18:13 He who answers before listening—
that is his folly and his shame.
I then listened as the Pastor who was leading the meeting said what was on my heart exactly. The same vision, direction and leading.
Then an unexpected e-mail (very unexpected e-mail) came in and confirmed AGAIN what my answer was that I was listening for. I love it when that happens…it’s those moments where God says…I AM STILL HERE and ACTIVE and LOVE YOU!
How about YOU? How has GOD been working and speaking to you lately? Has HE confirmed anything in your life or showed up unexpectedly? Or maybe HE is SILENT. That’s OK too. Been there, done that.

I think a lot of the time we find ourselves wanting to move way faster than God’s timing will allow. It’s something that hit me some time ago, while looking to move to a different company. God had gotten me to a point where I was ready to complete his will, but I had to wait for His will to catch up with my willingness to move. Many times we forget that there is always two sides to everything. In my situation I was ready, but the company I wanted to move too was not. It took a year to the week for God to work things out at this company before I was hired. I look back and see that even though I thought God was silent for a year, he was just quietly working. As part of our youth staff at my church I see this happening all the time. We as a leadership team are ready for what God has next, but then comes the task of teaching, praying, fasting and allowing God to work on the hearts of people before we can move forward with what He wants. The great thing is, is that God’s will along with his timing are always perfect!! Rest on that!
I’m at a point where I’m waiting for God to speak up (regarding Sarah’s job situation), but every time I think about losing hope, I remember that He’s never left before. He always speaks just at the right time.
this was a very good post my friend! lol I think for me God has been silent, I’m waiting patiently for Him to guide me the right way in life and trying to figure out what my purpose here on Earth is! I have a problem not listening to Him and getting tired of waiting for Him to speak to me!! i hope that makes sense!? lol but God has been good to me the past few weeks!! I’ve been trying to find a cheap car for my twin sister so i dont have to run her everywhere and i was just driving around and i saw this car, called my grandparents to check it out and she got the car. I’ve been praying that she would get a car soon and the time couldn’t have been better!! God is amazing, if just wait!!!
Amen to how God is working in each of your lives! Keep the comments flowing! Let’s discuss and share! God is listening, and of course reading Chazzdaddy’s blog.Charles
